Caregiver Opportunities

Join our Registry

We have the deepest appreciation and respect for the caregivers who serve our community. Our philosophy and accreditation standards allow us to attract only experienced, dedicated caregivers to our registry. As an independent contractor, you enjoy many of the following benefits:
  • Flexibility in your scheduling of referrals
  • A diverse group of clients and referral settings
  • Competitive fee payments
  • More referral opportunities

The following is a list of the current minimum requirements to join our registry:
  • Two years of verifiable child care experience
  • Current child AND infant CPR certification
  • You must pass a national criminal background check that we can process on your behalf for $27
  • You must pass a drug screen that we administer onsite and can be purchased for $7
If you can meet the above requirements, then the first step is to fill out an application for review. Please allow two weeks for your application to be considered. If after two weeks you have not heard from a Dependable representative, then you may follow-up on your application by calling our main line and following the prompts to “check the status of your application.”

Once your application has been reviewed and your caregiving experience has been verified, you will be invited to a pre-orientation session within our office. The following can help you prepare for the session:

What to bring with you
  1. Current driver’s license or state ID card
  2. Social security card (must be signed)
  3. Copy of your current infant and child CPR certification
  4. $34 total (cash or money order ONLY) – $27 for the national criminal background check and $7 for the drug screen*
  5. OPTIONAL – any additional certification documents or immunization records
*Please note: you must refrain from eating or drinking anything 15 minutes prior to taking the oral drug screen (this includes water, mints, gum, etc.).

Orientations are typically scheduled once / month in a group setting. Once you have successfully completed the pre-orientation session, you will qualify for the next scheduled orientation. The following list will help you to prepare for orientation:
  1. Please bring any outstanding documents that are required
  2. Be prepared to fill out some additional paperwork and agreements
  3. Allow for 1.5 – 2 hours to complete the orientation
  4. Please DO NOT park in any spots in the front of the building – there is plenty of street parking available
